Final News update of the season – 10.5.14

The Vikings finished the season with another cup final defeat losing narrowly 4-3 to Golspie Sutherland after extra time in the Ness Cup Final at The Dammies. Vikings goals from Marc McGregor with a double and Michael Petrie who scored a last gasp equaliser to take the cup final into extra time.

Latest Vikings News – 26.4.14

The Vikings lost their second cup final in as many weeks but it was a lot closer affair in The Football Times Cup Final played at Morrison Park, Halkirk. The match ended 1-1 after 90 mins with Colin Sinclair scoring from the penalty spot. The Vikings eventually lost 2-1 after extra time to a second goal from Alan Larnach.

Thurso FC have made it to their third cup final this season beating Halkirk United 1-0 in The Football Times cup semi on Saturday. The Vikings winning goal came from Marc McGregor.

The Vikings now know they face Golspie Sutherland in The Ness Cup final after they defeated Clach ‘A’ 5-1 in this afternoon’s semi final in Inverness. No date has been set for The Ness Cup final yet but it will be played in Thurso as the up coming SWL Cup Final between Golspie and Thurso will be played at Golspie on Saturday 19th of April 2014.

Next Vikings match is The Football Times Cup Semi-final at home to Halkirk United on Saturday 12th of April with. 2 p.m kick off

Vikings progress to the Ness Cup Final – 2.4.14

Thurso FC progress to The Ness Cup Final winning 5-4 on pens after a 2-2 draw in the Caithness Derby at Morrison Park tonight. Colin Sinclair scored both of the Vikings goals with a special 25 yard free kick and a second half penalty drawing the tie level on the night. Michael Petrie scored the winning penalty in the shoot out after Thurso keeper Graeme Williamson saved a Halkirk United spot kick.
